About Erin (She/Her)
Hello and welcome! Beginning your therapeutic journey might feel overwhelming, but know that you're not alone—I'm here to support you. With a compassionate approach and a focus on building trust and mutual respect, I hope to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship while emphasizing your unique strengths to foster empowerment.
I received my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Roosevelt University. My clinical experience and passion are focused on women's mental health challenges, spanning from interpersonal trauma to concerns such as self-esteem, identity, body image, concerns with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and grief. I'm dedicated to helping you navigate your challenges with care and understanding. In my previous experiences, I had the opportunity to work at a community health clinic where I provided support to adult women who had faced situations of domestic and sexual violence. Additionally, I had the privilege of working with clients from various diverse and multicultural backgrounds. Grounded in a client-centered and trauma-informed approach, I incorporate evidence-based methods from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to provide effective support tailored to your needs. Together, we'll explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe, non-judgmental space.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with friends, knitting, playing video games, and camping with my partner. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me, and I invite you to reach out if my approach resonates with your needs!
